Alberto Gnerro

He began to climb in 1986, and took part to the first international races competing with the great Edlinger-Moffat-Simon Nadin – Ben Moon with great results, until winning the third Italian title in 1992.

In parallel he progresses the Outdoor experience and mostly challenged himself climbing on-sight top routes still unrepeated today reaching level 8b.
Along 2002 he sends the first Italian 9a after-work!

To complete the experience of climber Alberto began to dedicate himself to route setting, becoming one of the few International professional setter in 1998.
He designed and set numerous World Cups and National races in about 20 years of experience!

In the midst of all this, his passion for climbing led him to open new routes and discover new lands especially in the nearby Valle d’Aosta. The cube -Gressoney -Sarre and the cliff around are part of the history of Italian climbing, and more.

In 2006 he founded the Runout climbing school in Biella.
With the Docrock brand founded 5 years ago, Alberto’s passion for climbing becomes a real job. DocRock is sponsor of Milano Climbing Expo.

Class ’78.

Now at the threshold of 20 years of rock climbing, competitions and training, I am always motivated to improve myself.

On rock I climbed blocks up to 8a + and threw up to 8b; in the last year I finally got the qualification as a first level tracker waiting to get the second level, I always try to learn from my colleagues and to share experiences and advice.

Gabriele Moroni

(1989, Galliate, Italy)

He has been a point of reference for Italian climbing for more than ten years.

Since 2001 he have been attending the juniores European Cup and the Juniores world cup. He won his first Boulder European cup on 2004, gaining the second position in the next years 4 times in a Boulder World Cup event.

He sent up to level 9A+ with 8 routes of 9A level, and first Italian to send Action Direct in Frankenjura.

He solved two 8c, five 8b+ boulder problems and some of the toughest highballs in the world.

He was the Lead Junior World Champion and the Italian Boulder Champion (twice) Ranked 3rd in the Boulder World Cup on 2009, as well as on the European Championship.

La Sportiva

In the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, Narciso Delladio hand-crafted wooden clogs and leather boots for many lumber-jacks and farmers of the Fassa and Fiemme valleys (Dolomites, Italy).

After the war, the demand for boots increased, obliging Narciso to hire new workers: the good name of “Calzoleria Sportiva” crossed the boarders of the valleys. Starting from here the La Sportiva’s history and fame continued to grow.

Now the firm produces in Fiemme Valley boots and shoes for all kind of outdoor activities from climbing and mountain, categories in which La Sportiva has the market leadership, to mountain running and trekking.

After 80 years, La Sportiva’s mission remain still the same: innovation with passion.
